2009- A YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS

The Lord first spoke this [2009 will be a year of higher heights... And NOT from where we are necessarily at this moment, but higher heights than ever before experienced.] to my heart in a burger joint when I wished the ladies waiting on us a Happy New Year and promptly added, "and would you like the word for 2009?" They said yes and THAT is what popped out of my mouth. One of the ladies quickly grabbed it and said – “I receive that!” Over the next several days the phrase kept coming back to me again and again. As I prayed and sought the Lord, this is what rose up in me for 2009. I pass it on to you.

2009 will be a year of higher heights... A year we are called into deeper worship of our King of kings.

Those called, chosen and following hard after Him will experience this. And NOT from where we are necessarily at this moment, but higher heights than ever before experienced.

The valleys will look deeper but the mountains will reach the heavens.

This is the year of great reward. What have you sown? This is the year of reaping.

Extraordinary changes will occur.
We will see and witness things we never imagined in America... and the world – both good and sad. Included in this are the answers from prayers of many years - to MORE THAN WE CAN ASK OR IMAGINE.

A year of harvest
A year of excruciatingly painful decision – counting the cost
A year of GREAT joy
A year of the banqueting table set before our enemies

In 2009 lives will come in line
Minds will be renewed
The curse of [their/our] youth removed

Look to the heavens and worship HIM. Lift up your heads, O ye people, to the God most high!

As I prayed and considered, asking the Lord for further clarity and insight, I came across 2 things I believe are key to this.  1st the scripture Ephesians 4:1-16, and the 2nd are words from Tommy Tenney concerning worship quoted below.

Ephesians 4:1-16
1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you[a] all. 7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says:

“ When He ascended on high,
      He led captivity captive,
      And gave gifts to men.”

9 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Worship lifts us up to see the trouble we face from God's perspective instead of being trapped in an earthly, time-bound viewpoint. The higher we go, the smaller our problems seem. The closer you get to something, the bigger it appears. In other words, worship not only "shrinks" our problems; it also magnifies God in our lives and to others. Worship doesn't really change our problems; it just minimizes their influence over us as we focus on God. He doesn't promise to remove all of our circumstances, but God does assure us that in His presence and from His perspective--we can see things as they really are and not how they appear to be.

May this year bring you a giant step closer to fulfilling your dreams and purpose.
God bless you.
